Time to Tee it Up Between The Hedges

Well you may or may not know but I am huge Georgia Bulldog Fan!! Season kicks off this SATURDAY and dude I am pumped, PUMPED!! Georgia is also ranked Pre-season # 1 which is Good and is Bad...the Good...being that if we by chance loose a game we can rebound quicker to the top of the poll because of our Pre-season ranking...the Bad...being # 1 can sometimes give us the big head and take some teams lightly. Georgia plays in the toughest conference in College Football...the SEC! This is Indisputable! I don't want to hear from Big 10 fans...aka Ohio State Fans telling me that their conference is tough when they play teams like Indiana (Basketball School), Minnesota and Northwestern. We play teams like Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Auburn and Alabama in which three of these teams are ranked in the Top 10 and 2 in the Top 25! Besides we've recently seen what happens when the Big Ten Plays the SEC...OK maybe I am getting a little carried away...but seriously, GO DAWGS!!!!!

Worship

Worship...is there a right and a wrong way to worship? No, I do not think there is..sometimes as a worship leader it seems that people are unresponsive almost unfazed. However, just because it seems that way on the outside does not reflect what is happening on the inside! Everybody responds and worships differently...its really not a question of right and wrong...its more about worship that is authentic and true. John 4:23 is a verse that echoes through my life right now...it says a time has come and is now here when the true worshippers will rise and worship Him in SPIRIT and TRUTH for this is who he seeks. WOW! powerful words that were written in the red. May that be our Anthem to worship HIM in SPIRIT and TRUTH!

Trip to Newspring

Yo, what's up...well today Matt our Creative Arts Director and I took a trip to Anderson, S.C. to hangout with Lee Mcderment and Justin Land...Worship Leaders at Newspring. Let me just say it was Awesome hangin' and connecting with those guys! They truly are Real, Authentic Dudes that love Jesus!!

Lee and Justin...thank you for your time today you guys ROCK!

If you are not familiar with Newspring Church they are a church in Rural Anderson, S.C. where several thousands meet and worship every Sunday. This church is Awesome...Kingdom Minded, Loving Jesus, Loving People, Changing Lives...

One last thing...we had lunch at a GREAT place in Anderson and all I can say is the Turtle Pie was Banging....Chocolate, Carmel, Pecans, Chocolate, more Chocolate, Turtle, Turtle, Turtle....

Guess whose BLOGGIN'

Yo...well here it is. I have finally joined the Wild World of Blogging and in the words of David Spade himself "in just a shade under a decade...alright"

Obviously I am new at this and my Blog looks Incredibly Lame but just wait it will get better!

Yesterday at VL was Awesome! We continued the 2nd week of our series called "Seasons"....worship was Freeing, Band ROCKED IT OUT, Pete laid the Smack Down...it was a Great day!

I ran across these 2 sentences that we put to music yesterday...they were simple yet so powerful! Listen to the words..."the same POWER that CONQUERED the grave lives in me, lives in ME, Your LOVE that RESCUED the earth lives in me, lives in ME! Wow, I had to share that with you. Powerful words that need to be our daily Declaration...
